Well I'm about a month into my new job as a producer's assistant.
The pay sucks but it the benefits are pretty good. My boss is pretty laid back and not much of a screamer, and I get tons of access to meetings, development notes, scripts, etc. So far I've gotten a fly on the wall type view into how movies are put together and how an idea is turned into a finished screenplay. I'm pretty psyched overall about the job and I imagine it will lead to even better things in the future.
Screenwriting wise, I have been working on three scripts basically at the same time. The first is "The Hard Easy", a Con Air type action adventure screenplay, the second is "3 Days of Darkness", a high concept end of the world type script, and the final one is a small urban drama/western.
I've basically outlined most of The Hard Easy and am still working on the other two. I have a feeling with the third script I may end up writing a majority of scenes on the fly.
On top of all this I've been getting ready to build up my bankroll thru satellites on PokerStars and two other sites.
I'm going to play the Double Shootouts and Single Table Sats in order to build up a large roll of T$. Basically everytime I win a seat I'll unregister and add that towards the money I'm using to build up my roll. Once I get above say 3 or 4 thousand then I may play a couple of tourneys but I won't be entering the Stars Sunday Million or the Second Chance tourney until I have well over $5000 in T$.
In the long term I plan to use a similar bankroll building strategy on Party and possibly FullTilt. By the fall I hope to have enough of a roll where I can play all four sunday tourneys every week.
If Stars would get some sats into the Royale w/ Cheese(daily$150) I'd probably play that one too, but given how tough the field tends to be I'd rather spend the money on a rebuy tourney with a softer field and larger payout.
